Former governor of Kano State and the immediate past chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje CON had said that the party in the state is solidly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ganduje state this at the Stakeholders meeting of the party in Kano on Thursday.
He said that the party appreciates the policy reforms of the Tinubu administration and the appointments he extended to members of the party in the state.
He added that the party out of political dexterity has attracted major politicians in the state.
Ganduje said, “We are here to examine the progress we have made and to assure Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that our party in Kano state that we are solidly behind him.
“We appreciate his policy reforms. We appreciate the good work that he is doing for the country and for Kano state. And we appreciate all the appointments that he made for the people of Kano state.
“Ladies and gentle men you all know what happened during the last election. We are about to win the election, but unfortunately we couldn’t win the election. But since after that our party has remained intact and solid. And because of the good policies of Mr President and because of our political dexterity in the state we are able to attract many important politicians from other political parties that have come into our party.
“State assembly members, former secretary of the present government of Kano State, federal lawmakers and commissioners have all joined our party. The APC is going from strength to strength.”
