
Hamisu Chidari defeated Hafizu Sani at the Primary election for Reps in Dambatta/Makoda
Dambatta/Makoda Federal Constituency primary election committee together with Stakeholders and APC members witnessed a hitch free and Peaceful Primary election conducted across twenty one Political Wards of Dambatta and Makoda local government Areas respectively which saw the emergence of Rt Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari as the winner of the Primary election with a wide margin defeating his opponent Hafizu Sani which was held Saturday.
The Returning Officer assigned by the State Party Headquarters to oversee and handle the collation process in line with guiding principles of the All Progressive Congress APC declared the result that Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari emerged winner of the Primary election.
The Returning Officer, Shehu Mustapha Barwa,stated that, having scored the highest votes casted Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari was declared winner of the Primary election in the presence of the Council Chairmen of Dambatta and Makoda local government Areas,Party Chairmen of the two local government Areas,State Party Representative, Security operatives and others stakeholders.
Chidari cumulative votes at both Dambatta and Makoda local government Areas stand at 12,434 while Hafizu Sani polled 289 votes which paved the way for Rt Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari to clinched the ticket to contest for House of Representative at the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
The Exercise reflects the APC adherence to the internal democratic process through diligence observations of the Party’s laid down principles and electoral acts,which includes the use of direct primaries in constituencies and political wards where consensus was not reached.
When interviewed one of the Frontline Political actors Musa Sani ( DDN) described the election as highly transparent and thanks both the Party Representative and the electorates for their maturity and dedication.
He assured them of Chidari’s inclusiveness on legislative development describing him as an icon of Constituency development.
When contacted the winner of the Primary election and serving Member representing Dambatta/Makoda Federal Constituency,Rt Hon Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari expressed gratitude to Allah Subhanallah Wata’ala for the success and commended the foresight and visionary leadership styles of the Executive Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf which led to this success and also saluted the Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo for his open door policy on matters related to the Democratic advancement of the State.
Chidari equally thanks the Party Executives and the Council Chairmen of Dambatta and Makoda local government Areas respectively for their utmost contributions which led to the peaceful conduct of the Primary election and the success of the incumbent Member, as he also expressed delight to all the Stakeholders at both the State and Local Government levels and Security operatives for their objectives roles during the exercise.
Commenting on the outcome of the election, Chidari promised inclusive administration and pledged to redouble efforts for the advancement of his Constituency on different spheres of human endeavors.
