ALHASSAN ADO DOGUWA: THE POLITICAL TITAN WHO DEFIES ODDS, CRUSHING OPPOSITION AND EXPOSING THE DESPERATION OF HAJIYA SA’A.
By Shariff Aminu Ahlan
When the political history of Kano is written, Honorable Alhassan Ado Doguwa will stand out as one of the most resilient, fearless, and impactful lawmakers of his era. Representing Tudun Wada/Doguwa Federal Constituency, Doguwa has consistently proven that politics is not about bitterness but about service, development, and loyalty to the people.
In Tudun Wada, however, one name continues to stir controversy—Hajiya Sa’a, the Local Government Council Chair, whose political career has become defined not by service but by vendetta and recklessness.
The source of Hajiya Sa’a’s hostility is well known. Her husband was handed a crushing electoral defeat by Doguwa, a defeat that ended his political ambition and sparked a vendetta that she has carried into her own tenure as council chair. Instead of focusing on governance, she has chosen to fight a personal battle against Doguwa—a battle she has already lost in the eyes of the people.
The Recent Scandal: Violence, Thuggery, and Bloodshed…Her desperation recently hit a dangerous low. Hajiya Sa’a was summoned by the State Police Headquarters after being accused of personally leading a mob of thugs who violently attacked innocent citizens engaged in legitimate businesses. The attack left many injured, while some tragically lost their lives.
Worse still, she was alleged to have ordered her police orderlies to fire live ammunition recklessly at the crowd, causing chaos and more bloodshed. This shocking abuse of power has outraged the people of Tudun Wada, exposing her as a leader more interested in intimidation than service.
From Tudun Wada town to the rural villages, the people’s anger is palpable. Many see this incident as the final proof that Hajiya Sa’a is unfit to hold public office. Market women openly condemned the attack, describing it as an assault on their means of livelihood. Youth leaders have taken to community meetings and social gatherings to denounce her reckless use of thugs and firearms.
One resident put it bluntly: “Instead of building roads, schools, or health centers, she is busy sponsoring thugs. We cannot continue with such leadership.”
Another added: “Her husband was rejected at the polls, now she too has been rejected in our hearts. We want leaders like Doguwa who empower us, not those who endanger our lives.”
This grassroots anger has left her isolated, while Doguwa’s reputation as a man of peace and development grows stronger.
Doguwa’s Politics vs. Sa’a’s Desperation…Doguwa builds hospitals, she builds thugs.
Doguwa empowers farmers with fertilizers and irrigation, she empowers criminals with weapons.
Doguwa helps strengthen internal security with massive donations of cars and other security devices while she preached violence and thuggery in the once peaceful local government.
Doguwa electrifies communities and opens roads, she darkens the land with blood and chaos.
While Hajiya Sa’a drowns in scandal, Doguwa’s legacy continues to shine through his countless developmental projects in Tudun Wada/Doguwa.
For over three decades, Doguwa has stood firm against every form of opposition—from political conspiracies to desperate smear campaigns. Hajiya Sa’a’s reckless behavior is just another failed attempt to shake a man who has the mandate and loyalty of his people.
Her husband’s defeat was the people’s voice. Her scandal is the people’s judgment. And in both, the message is clear: Doguwa remains the lion of Tudun Wada/Doguwa—unshaken, undefeated, and unbreakable.
The people of Tudun Wada/Doguwa have spoken loudly. They reject violence, thuggery, and abuse of power. They reject Hajiya Sa’a’s politics of bitterness. And they embrace Honorable Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the man whose name has become synonymous with empowerment, development, and fearless representation.
History will not remember Hajiya Sa’a for service—it will remember her for violence and desperation. But history will remember Doguwa as the man who crushed opposition not with thugs, but with projects; not with bullets, but with empowerment; not with bitterness, but with progress.
