Kano State Hospital Management Board Reaffirms Commitment to Excellence Through Staff Commendation in Gwarzo.
The Kano State Health Services Management Board has reaffirmed its firm commitment to promoting excellence, dedication, and professionalism within the state’s healthcare system.
This position was conveyed during the presentation of commendation letters to outstanding staff of Gwarzo General Hospital in Zone IV.
The Director General of the Kano State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Mansur Nagoda, was ably represented at the event by the Medical Director of Gwarzo General Hospital, Dr. Abdulsamad Abubakar Tahir.
Dr. Abdulsamad stated that the Board places high value on integrity, diligence, and commitment to duty, stressing that hardworking health personnel remain critical to quality healthcare delivery.
He explained that the commendation exercise is part of an institutional strategy aimed at motivating staff and strengthening accountability across public health facilities in Kano State.
According to him, recognizing exemplary performance encourages others to uphold professional ethics and improve service delivery at all levels.
He further emphasized that government health institutions thrive when staff morale is high and dedication is rewarded transparently.
Seven staff members of Gwarzo General Hospital were selected for commendation based on merit, dedication, and outstanding performance in their respective units.
Mallam Sani Yusuf Faruruwa, Executive Officer Administration, was recognized for his efficiency, discipline, and commitment to administrative excellence.
The Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Tasiu Abdullahi, was also commended for his leadership role and coordination of healthcare services within the facility.
Mallam Hamisu said , a Health Attendant, received commendation for his consistency, humility, and patient-friendly conduct.
Dr. Sani Ado Gwarzo, in charge of the Accident and Emergency Unit, was honored for his responsiveness and professionalism in managing critical medical cases.
Dr. Buhari Rabi’u Na-abba Gwarzo, Medical Field Officer in charge, was recognized for his dedication, teamwork, and adherence to medical ethics.
Other awardees include Mallam Ado Abdullahi Ibrahim, Male Ward In-Charge, and Mallam Abubakar Abdullahi Murtala, Community Health Technician attached to the Accident and Emergency Unit, both praised for their commitment to patient care.
The occasion was witnessed by the Hospital Secretary, Alhaji Isma’ila Ibrahim Babangida Zuru of Gwarzo, who commended the Board for sustaining a culture of recognition and motivation.
Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Dr. Buhari Rabi’u Na-abba Gwarzo expressed deep appreciation to the Kano State Hospital Management Board for the honour bestowed on them.
He described the commendation as a morale booster that would inspire greater dedication, discipline, and professionalism among healthcare workers.
He assured that the recipients would continue to serve with integrity and commitment in line with the health development objectives of Kano State.
The Kano State Hospital Management Board reiterated its resolve to continue encouraging excellence and rewarding outstanding performance as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state.
