UNAPOLOGETICALLY ABBA’S; BUT IGNORING MURTALA GARO WOULD BE A DISASTER TOO COSTLY TO RISK.

In the ever-dramatic theatre of Kano politics, where alliances shift overnight, loyalty is traded cheaply, betrayal becomes strategy, and manipulation meets counter-manipulatio, the stakes have never been higher. It is a terrain defined by ego, influence, political calculation, and the constant struggle for supremacy.
Yet, amidst this complexity, one truth remains clear: hesitation, over-consultation, and indecision at this critical moment could prove fatal. The governor must rise above the noise, be firm, be decisive, and make the right political choice—Murtala Garo.
Whatever is currently brewing behind closed doors high-level meetings, plots and counterplots, silent battles for dominance, or reported internal frictions within the party, it is time to say enough is enough. The party must come together and act with unity and purpose.
We are, in all sincerity, pleading for reconciliation. Disunity within the APC is not just a minor setback, it is a direct pathway to electoral defeat. A divided house cannot stand, especially when facing a determined and battle-ready opposition ahead of 2027.
For the political survival of the governor, and for the collective interest of the party, there must be courage to choose competence over sentiment. There is no ambiguity here, no room for trial and error. The choice must be the best among the best.
Let it be clearly stated: this position is not driven by blind loyalty or personal attachment. It is driven by a deep understanding of political realities and the urgent need for victory. Murtala Garo stands out as the only viable option capable of neutralizing the growing strength of the opposition.
Murtala Garo is not just a politician, he is a structure builder. Across all the 44 Local Government Areas of Kano State, he has painstakingly built and sustained a formidable political network. His reach is not superficial; it is deeply rooted, organic, and loyal. In times when many politicians fade away without power or office, Garo has remained consistently relevant.
For over three years without holding any official appointment, he has continued to maintain strong ties with his people. Every two months, he returns home, not for showmanship, but to genuinely engage with individuals, listen to their concerns, and support their aspirations. This is not common in our political space; it is a testament to his commitment and grassroots connection.
Beyond politics, Murtala Garo has proven himself as a humanist of remarkable standing. His continuous support for party members and ordinary citizens alike has earned him not just followers, but believers. He has become a phenomenon—someone whose influence is built on compassion, accessibility, and consistent presence.
It is therefore disturbing to witness sponsored protests and rented crowds attempting to discredit him. The arguments being pushed, largely centered on alleged legal issues, remain mere allegations, lacking substance and finality. These are clear attempts at character assassination, orchestrated by those who fear his political strength.
The reality remains unchanged: Murtala Garo possesses the political weight, the structure, the experience, and the strategic intelligence required to confront and defeat the opposition, no matter how organized or desperate they may be.
At a time when the opposition is regrouping, fueled by vendetta and guided by powerful political interests eager to reclaim dominance, APC cannot afford to gamble. This is not the moment for experimentation, it is the moment for precision.
Garo’s combination of grassroots influence, intellectual depth, political experience, and unwavering loyalty places him far ahead of others. He is the bridge needed to unify factions, the force required to energize the base, and the shield capable of defending the party against external threats.
The party must put its house in order and act decisively. Internal sabotage, distractions, and avoidable conflicts must be set aside. The focus should be victory, and victory demands the right choice.
Let us avoid decisions that may lead to regret. Let us not create room for defections that could weaken the party further. Let us act now, wisely and courageously.
Murtala Garo is not just an option, he is the solution.
