Newcomers Ikorodu City won their first game in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season, thrashing Bendel Insurance 3-0 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Saturday.

Rivio Ayemwenre directed Waliu Ojetoye’s cross into the net three minutes after the break. Ikorodu City kept prodding and got the second on 56 minutes through Kelechi Onwe.
Toyeeb Ajeyigbe added the third goal 14 minutes from time.
