Governor Abba Extends Support to Hisbah
As part of continued support to the people of the state during the month of Ramadan, Governor Abba Kabir Yusif has donated 600 bags of 50kg rice to the Hisbah Board for distribution to Hisbah personnel across the state in order to ease their living conditions.
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony for the distribution, which took place at the Board’s headquaters in Sharada, the Chairman of the Hisbah Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Shehu Maihula represented by the Deputy Commander General, Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen Abubakar
described Governor Abba Kabir Yusif as a generous leader whose kindness has consistently led him to support the needy with food items, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Hisbah Chairman added that feeding people carries immense reward in Islam, particularly during Ramadan when rewards are multiplied. He therefore called on members of the public to intensify efforts in feeding the needy during this blessed month in order to earn abundant rewards.
Sheikh Ibrahim Maihula further stated that Governor Abba Kabir Yusif’s concern for the less privileged was the reason behind the establishment of Ministry of Humanitarian in the state.
He prayed for Allah to continue granting the Governor the ability to support Hisbah personnel. He also noted that the doors of the Board remain open to anyone willing to assist the Hisbah or its personnel, emphasizing that whoever supports a Hisbah officer is indeed supporting Islam, Allah (SWT), and His Messenger (PBUH), as Hisbah officers are devoted to serving the religion.
Sheikh Maihula prayed that Allah rewards the Governor just as he has brought relief to Hisbah personnel. He also urged prayers for the Governor, Kano State, and the country at large for lasting peace and stability.
In his welcome address, the Director of Administration and General Services of the Board, Malam Ahmad Abdullahi expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Governor for the generous donation to staff, enabling them to experience relief. He urged Hisbah personnel to reciprocate this gesture by increasing their dedication to duty, performing their responsibilities in accordance with the law, and maintaining punctuality at work.
