Governor Abba commends Ganduje foundation for promoting Islam in Kano and beyond
Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has commended the Ganduje Foundation Islamic Da’awa Centre for its giant strides in the promotion of peace and the propagation of Islamic religion in the state.
The governor also commended the Chairman of the foundation, the former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his immemse contributions towards the growth of Islam in Kano state .
The Governor made the remarks , during a special prayer session organized by the foundation for the sustainance of peace in the state and the country at large.
The prayer session held last Saturday at the Kano residence of the former governor also witnessed the conversion of three hundred and seventy non Muslims to the Muslim faith .
The Governor , who was represented at the occassion by the state deputy governor , Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo was also graced by renowned Islamic scholars drawn from across the state.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed his appreciation over the role been played by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, while acknowledging his untiring efforts in propagating Islam and organising the special programme
He prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to grant Ganduje the strength and wisdom to do more for the upliftment of Islam and humanitarian services at large.
He urged the new Muslim converts to tighten their belts in seeking islamic knowledge in order to know how to discharge their obligatory acts and seek Allah’s blessing in all their dealings. The Governor also prayed to Allah to grant the new converts with steadfastness in their faith throughout their lives, he advised them to remain God-fearing in all their engagements in compliance with the teachings of Islam.
Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf thanked all those who contributed in one way or the other to the success of the program and urged them to sustain the tempo.
On his part the Chairman, Ganduje Foundation who is also the former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, prayed for the sustainance of peace, unity and socio economic development in the state, country , he also wished President Bola Ahmed Tinubu good health and success in his administration.
Dr. Ganduje described Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf as a committed, dedicated and hardworking leader who is committed to the promotion of peace, unity and understanding amongst the people of Kano, as well very focused in promoting the well-being of the people of the State through his policy of Kano First Agenda. He congratulated the new converts and urged them to worship Allah in line with the teaching of the holy Qur’an and Sunnah and reaffirmed the foundation’s determination in promoting Islam in the state and beyond .
