COMMENDATION OF HIS EXCELLENCY, GOVERNOR ABBA KABIR YUSUF, ON THE NOMINATION OF HIS EXCELLENCY, MURTALA SULE GARO, AS HIS RUNNING MATE FOR THE 2027 KANO GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION
The Forum of Former Honourable Commissioners of Kano State who served between 2015 and 2023 has received with immense joy, profound appreciation and great satisfaction the announcement by His Excellency, Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, confirming His Excellency, Murtala Sule Garo, as his running mate for the 2027 gubernatorial election in Kano State.
The Forum warmly commends His Excellency, the Governor, for this bold, thoughtful and statesmanlike decision, which clearly reflects his confidence in the leadership qualities, loyalty, competence, integrity and unwavering commitment of His Excellency, Murtala Sule Garo.
Having had the privilege of serving alongside His Excellency, Murtala Sule Garo during our respective periods in government, we can confidently attest to his exceptional leadership, remarkable administrative competence, dedication to public service and outstanding political maturity. Throughout his years of service, he has distinguished himself as a dependable leader, an excellent team player, a bridge-builder and a grassroots politician whose acceptability transcends political, ethnic and social divides across Kano State.
His nomination is richly deserved and stands as a recognition of merit, loyalty, hard work and selfless service to the people of Kano State. It is also a testament to the confidence reposed in him by His Excellency, the Governor.
Accordingly, we extend our warmest congratulations to His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and His Excellency, Murtala Sule Garo, on this significant political milestone. We are confident that their partnership will further strengthen the leadership and development of Kano State.
The Forum wishes to assure His Excellency, the Governor, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), party members and the good people of Kano State of our unwavering support for this formidable and united ticket. We remain committed to contributing our experience, goodwill and political support towards ensuring the overwhelming success of the Abba Kabir Yusuf–Murtala Sule Garo ticket in the 2027 gubernatorial election.
We also call upon all APC members, supporters and well-wishers across the forty-four (44) Local Government Areas of Kano State to remain united, strengthen party cohesion and work tirelessly for the victory of our great party. Unity, discipline and collective commitment remain the surest path to consolidating progress and securing a brighter future for Kano State.
Finally, we pray to Almighty Allah (SWT) to continue to bless His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and His Excellency, Murtala Sule Garo, with wisdom, sound health, strength and divine guidance as they continue to serve the people of Kano State. We also pray for peaceful, free and credible elections, and for a resounding victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
