2026 Gusau/Ahlan Pre Season kick off , 7th August 2026 at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium Katsina.
All is now set for the kick.off of this year’s edition of the Nigeria Football Federation President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau pre season tournament tagged Gusau/Ahlan Cup According to the coorrdinator of the annual prestigious tournament, Alhaji Abahuraira Dahiru has disclosed that the 10 days tournament will kick off on 7th August 2026 at Mohammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, Katsina State.
Alhaji Abahuraira Dahiru said 16 football clubs from the Nigeria premier football and National leagues from across the country have indicated their interest to participate in the tournament. He affirmed the commitment and determination of the Local Organizing
Committee LOC headed by the chairman , jigawa state Football Association Alhaji Sabo Abdullahi is working hard tremendous to ensure that this year’s tournament is going to be the best of its kind in the history of the tournament . Alhaji Abahuraira Dahiru traced the history of the tournament saying that it started in Kano State for the past six years, since its inception the tournament is rotating within various parts of the country in order to maintain the spirit of sportsmanship which is the objective of the tournament. He commended Katsina State Government under Governor Umar Dikko Radda for accepting to host the tournament this year, this he said indicates the Governor’s commitment towards developing football and sports in general. The Co Ordinator assured that the local organizing committee would work closely with Katsina State Football Association KFA and relevant stakeholders in the state for the success of the tournament. He also urged Katsina football lovers and the entire people of the state to give their maximum support and co operation in making the tournament a colourful and historical event .
