The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, today Friday served as the Wali (guardian) at the wedding fatiha of Bilkisu Ibrahim Karaye, daughter of Hon. Ibrahim Ahmad Karaye, former Kano State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism.
The bride was given in marriage to Habibu Ahmad after a bride dwory of N200,000 was paid. The marriage was solemnised by the Deputy Chief Imam of Jami’ur Rahma Jumu’ah Mosque, Kundila, Dr. Abdullahi Muhammad Getso.
After the wedding, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo paid a congratulatory visit to former Kano State Commissioner for Works, Engineer. Idris Wada Sale, whose sons, Mahmoud Idris Wada Sale and Mujahid Idris Wada Sale, also celebrated their wedding ceremonies in Sharada quarters.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Senator representing Kano South Senatorial District, Senator Abdurrahman Sulaiman Kawu Sumaila; the member representing Karaye/Rogo Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Sani Rogo; former commissioners; former local government chairmen; and other prominent personalities.
