KEYAMO, MUSAWA CONFIRMED AS SPEAKERS AT 9TH NATIONAL TOURISM TRANSPORTATION SUMMIT & EXPO 2026*

The Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, and the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa Esq, are to lead the discourse as Keynote Speakers at the 9th edition of the National Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo (NTTSummit) 2026.
Disclosing this to newsmen in Abuja, the National President of the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN) and Chairman of the Inter Ministerial Organising Committee of NTTSummit 2026, Chief Abiodun Odusanwo, said the two-day event will feature high-level panel discussions, networking sessions and exhibitions, drawing key decision-makers from the aviation, maritime, road, rail transport, tourism and hospitality value chains.
Speaking further, Chief Odusanwo said the Summit, with the theme: Tourism and Transportation: Building Connectivity and Mobility for Sustainable Development, provides a critical B2B and B2G interface for industry stakeholders to align policy with private sector execution to achieve sustainable socio-economic growth in the country, ‘the focus will be on actionable roadmaps for building a resilient national economy through improved connectivity and mobility’ he added.
Now in its ninth year, the National Tourism Transportation Summit & Expo is the flagship annual event organized by the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN) in collaboration with relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. Scheduled to take place from Monday, 27th to Tuesday 28th, July 2026, at the prestigious Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja. The event has continued to serve as Nigeria’s premier platform for fostering intermodal synergy between the transportation and tourism sectors.
The participation of Honourable Minister Festus Keyamo comes at a pivotal time, following his recent appointment by the African Development Bank as the African Champion to drive the Integrated Aviation Transformation Program for Africa (IATP), with high expectation for the Nigerian aviation industry of significant policy shifts that focus on airport infrastructure, airline support systems and the integration of air travel with local tourism hubs.
While Honourable Minister Hannatu Musawa, who has been at the forefront of rebranding Nigeria’s global image through inbound tourism, is expected to address strategies for leveraging transportation networks to boost domestic and international visitor numbers. Her participation underscores the administration’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on economic diversification through cultural and creative industries.
“The summit is widely regarded as the premier gathering for combined tourism and transportation in Nigeria,” stated Chief Abiodun Odusanwo, National President of ITPN and Chairman of the Inter-Ministerial Organising Committee. “By bringing together critical policymakers and private sector stakeholders, the 9th edition offers a unique collaborative space to chart new, sustainable pathways for the future of Nigerian mobility and hospitality”, he concluded.
The two-day event which begins with a City Walk on Saturday 25th July 2026 at the Old Parade Ground Area 10, Garki Abuja, will feature high-level panel discussions, networking sessions and exhibitions, drawing key decision-makers from the aviation, maritime, road, rail transport, tourism and hospitality value chains, is expected to focus on actionable roadmaps for building a resilient national economy through improved connectivity and mobility.
Since approval was granted for the annual hosting of the National Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo, it became a combined industry event during which the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN), partnered and collaborated with industry key players and stakeholders to host the event. That singular act of approval underscores the connectivity brought by transportation, which is at the heart of the tourism-transport value chain. The event has continued to explore and further strengthen the links between both sectors and maximize their impacts on employment, inclusive growth and sustainable development of the economy.
